How to define your goal in life؟
What do you want to be when you grow up?! It may be disturbing to some that this question reoccurs in their minds in their late twenties or thirties or beyond.
Before the age of ten, I was unquestionably sure of what I would become when I
grew up. By the time I was twenty, I had successfully adjusted to the job that
I had been dreaming of since I was ten years old.
If you can set a long-term career goal and keep it in front of your eyes, it will give you the comfort and confidence that you can achieve it.
In addition,
defining a future career goal represents a focal point in your life, through
which you know where you are and where you are going, as well as identifying
your needs and developing a clear plan to achieve it.
On the other hand, doubts and uncertainties about the career you want to pursue in the future and your inability to determine the right job or the necessary qualifications and training can be a burden on you.
When some lack a specific
path to follow throughout their career, they feel restless as if they are in a
rough sea with no port to reach and therefore unable to achieve a specific goal.
Life is incredibly complex, filled with an unlimited number of options and possibilities that only affect your creativity and courage.
Do you want to buy
a beautiful home and have a stable family life? Would you like to travel to see
the world and meet people from different cultures and environments? Do you want
to start a new business? Do you want to learn the art of drawing? Do you want
to practice meditation daily? Do you want to write an interesting novel?
If you have all the above wishes and ambitions, you must fulfill the following:
- Define your priorities
Sometimes the many options and possibilities available can get in the way of achieving your goal. The first step you must take is to identify your interests and thoughts about your future life paths.
This does not mean, of course, that you
get rid of any of your dreams, but the intelligence is in finding innovative
solutions that help you achieve your wishes and dreams, and at the same time
carry out your responsibilities in life.
- clear view mode
A clear vision of things is what distinguishes one person from another, some live in close and closed societies and others are open to the world. Of course, your outlook on life will be different.
Therefore, before setting your priorities,
you need to make sure that you have as complete and clear a vision as possible.
Try to think about your present and future life and imagine how you will feel
when you are older and look back at your past.
- To experience
Life is not just an intellectual discussion, but actions, actions and initiatives that you must take. Go ahead and live your life, experience experiences and benefit from them, and form ideas for your present and future.
Know that you
won't learn until you try new things. Choose a possible path in your life, try
to travel it, learn from your mistakes and correct your path until you reach
your goal in the end.
And
finally, you must always have before your eyes the fact that change is the
nature of things; No matter how good your plans are, they may turn out
different than what you planned. Know that life is not something fixed and that
you have to be prepared to face its surprises.
