The two thousand year old Chinese martial art is quite simple to do and has many benefits.



I have been taking tai chi classes for about a year and it has helped me tremendously in managing my anxiety and stress levels.


Stress has been a big factor in my life and I've always had a hard time thinking positively.


I now try many alternative treatments to manage my stress, including meditation and tai chi. They both work great for me.


A friend introduced me to tai chi. I must say that he really didn't know much about it before this.


He told me that he had helped him a lot to control his depression. His name is John and he has many problems in his life that not only affect his self-confidence but also make him depressed at times.


John has been attending tai chi classes for almost two years and has apparently become a new man. For some reason, he didn't tell people what he was doing.


On a night out I mentioned to him that he had been much happier in recent months. It was then that he told me about tai chi.


He also asked me if I would like to attend classes with him, to which I duly agreed.


I am very glad that we had this conversation, as I too can easily fall into a state of depression.



It may be a mental thing, as I know I will attend tai chi once a week, but now I am very able to deal with stress and I am much less anxious than before.


People have also mentioned that I look much healthier and even look younger than before.


This is supposed to be another benefit of tai chi, it helps slow down the aging process.


This is good for someone like me, since people always thought I was about five years older than I really was.

It goes without saying that tai chi is not for everyone and I would also recommend meditation, reflexology, aromatherapy and hypnotherapy.


I am a person who likes to try new things as I am always trying to improve my life. I want to live a long, happy and stress free life. Using these forms of alternative treatments is helping me achieve this right now.
